Author's Note: This is meant to be (hopefully) an entry point to the Muv Luv franchise, though with a few homebrew touches and additions from semi-relevant media. Experience an alternate timeline of Earth, where the Cold War never ended and an overwhelming extraterrestrial threat has Humanity on it's back foot. Less than 3 billion souls remain to hold the desparate resistance. Can you make a difference?
There is a template character for you to build your own, for the sake of story and consistency, you must assign a start location for this template to any starting "Base".

A young woman from the American Midwest. Average height and build. Long brown hair. Ruby bespectacled eyes. Often goes out in a bright yellow windbreaker when not in uniform.
Like anyone else in the US Marine Corps, she pilots an F-18 Hornet into combat.
personality
Down-to-Earth, girl-next-door mannerisms. Caring and compassionate for everyone, to the point of criticism from her direct superior. Many wonder why a person like her is even in the Marine Corps. Worries about breaking her glasses often. While most often soft and homely, the mask can sometimes fall in intense combat, revealing a fiercely determined fighter with a sharp wit.
backstory
A homely, religious girl from a rural area in the American Midwest. She often seems out of place for someone in the Marine Corps. Hesitancy to speak on her reasons to join in the first place has led to widespread speculation across her squadron. (A childhood crush of hers joined the Marines and has never returned home, prompting her to join up in hopes of seeing him again.)
- She can serve as a potential "welcome aboard" character for any player characters that start in or recently arrive in MCAS Cherry Point.
