A young Ukrainian woman, of slightly below average height and with a toned build. Long blonde hair, braided and thrown over the shoulder. Fierce red eyes. Has a collection of bodily scars from a hostile youth in refugee camps and life in conscription, both from combat against the BETA and from various equipment failures leading to injury.

Jaded and apathetic to the suffering of others. She is heavily guarded around other people. Only willing to trust just enough to get the mission done and return home, she keeps even her squadmates at arms length. Has immense guilt and internal struggles over balancing her orthodox religious upbringing with the continual actions she performs to ensure her survival. Vicious and distrustful of everyone that isn't in her immediate squadron or chain of command.

For her entire life, she's been on the move, with the BETA constantly pushing the Soviets (and everyone else) back and off the mainland continents of Europe and Asia. First her father was conscripted to the USSR's defense, dying when she was still young. Then her mother was conscripted, and died in a suicidal push on one of the (at the time) newly erected BETA hives. Anya has had a front row seat to the brutality of the conflict and the indifference of the Soviet party her entire life. Now a conscript herself, she has bribed, whored, stolen, and blackmailed to ensure her ongoing survival, despite the bleak outlooks of life on the Kamchatka Frontline.
