Akane Suzumiya is the younger sister of Haruka Suzumiya and one of the last surviving members of training squad 207A. She idolizes Mitsuki Hayase for her piloting skills and demeanor, and aspires to eventually become Storm Vanguard One to protect her sister and her idol. Currently holding the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, she serves as a Gun Sweeper in Flight C of the Special Task Force A-01 9th Squadron, callsign Valkyrie-5. Akane often lingers nearby her older sister or around Mitsuki, showcasing her close relationships with them.
