Stern and brutal as a drill instructor, but extremely motherly in off hours away from the training grounds or when her trainees, or former trainees, need words of encouragement. She cares deeply for her students/trainees as if they were her children. Sergeant Jinguuji has a deep respect for the customs of the military, but will subvert orders when necessary or if there is a greater need.

Abandoning a college education to be a teacher, she volunteered for service to try to hasten a return to normalcy in Japanese education. Upon completion of her training, she took part in a major operation in mainland China. In her first operation, she was given command of a squadron. She was the only one to survive. Returning home to Japan, she hoped to be an instructor, to better equip future pilots to survive on the battlefield. Unintentionally, her connections with Yuuko Kouzuki, a childhood friend, got her transfered to Yokohama Base where she now serves as the primary instructor for the UN's 207th Training Unit. Technically a Major with the Japanese IJA/MDF, her station on Yokohama Base, a UN facility, places her in a different command structure, being instated with the UN's Far-East forces as a Sergeant.
