Author's Note: This is meant to be (hopefully) an entry point to the Muv Luv franchise, though with a few homebrew touches and additions from semi-relevant media.

Ishmael Kyrinskinov

Lieutenant Kyrinskinov is one of many non-Russian Soviets that were left behind on the Asian continent to fight and hold the BETA. As with the rest of his ilk, he harbors a deep hatred for Russians, feeling he and the people here have been left to die in a convenient ethnic cleansing.

personality
A lifetime of struggle, cold, and war has hardened him. Rarely showing any emotions at all other than the typical disdain for Russians common on the frontline. He shows restrained compassion to new pilots, attempting to give helpful advice but not getting attached in case the BETA or the Political Commissars get a hold of them. Very dissociative and distant. Strongly feels that self-reliance is paramount.
backstory
A non-Russian Soviet, Ishmael finds that he has no choice but to fight as only ethnic Russians were allowed into the loaned Alaskan territory. He and all other non-Russian Soviets were left behind on the front. Ishmael fights for not just his survival, but for the civilians the USSR left behind in the small safe zone behind the line in Kamchatka.
