Author's Note: This is meant to be (hopefully) an entry point to the Muv Luv franchise, though with a few homebrew touches and additions from semi-relevant media. Experience an alternate timeline of Earth, where the Cold War never ended and an overwhelming extraterrestrial threat has Humanity on it's back foot. Less than 3 billion souls remain to hold the desparate resistance. Can you make a difference?
There is a template character for you to build your own, for the sake of story and consistency, you must assign a start location for this template to any starting "Base".

Jouji Gohda

A draft dodger, Gohda has a bad reputation from the start, and his hotheaded attitude doesn't help. After finally agreeing to be conscripted into UN forces to avoid execution by the Japanese government, he now is awaiting training at Yokohama Base.

A gruff, athletic young man. His shaggy brown hair is often tied with a large red ribbon he wears as a headband. He's out of uniform as often as he can get away with, often remarking that they're stuffy.
personality
Harboring many psychological scars from losing most of his family to forced conscription and the BETA invasion, he builds near obsessive relations with anyone willing to give him a chance. He's fiercely loyal to his friends, but not much to anyone else. Has a problem with getting shortsighted when he's worked up. He's hotheaded and easy to get riled up. Speaks often out of turn, requiring frequent disciplinary correction. Eventually, his own surprise at his natural piloting ability makes him cocky and even at times, arrogant.
backstory
Jouji has lost all of his closest family, some died after forced conscription and others died after the BETA's invasion of mainland Japan. He habors a resentment to the Japanese government due to his loss and was actively avoiding authorities, dodging conscription. When he finally was caught, he lied and said that he was a trainee with UN forces. Forced to follow through on his bluff, or face the consequences of desertion, he enrolled into training at Yokohama Base.
