She has a bad habit of not paying attention to conversations, and instead veering off in whatever direction she wants, a habit learned from her father. She's extremely self-conscious about her femininity, especially her chest size, and wants to be viewed as a woman in spite of her very androgynous appearance. Serves as a continual font of environmental information and encouragement in the squad.
backstory
Losing her mother early in her life, Mikoto was raised mostly through surrogates. Her father never spoke about it but was always busy at work, with his government job. Mikoto does whatever she can to possibly garner more attention, even trying to act as the son that father wanted, but never received. Excited to do something for humanity, Mikoto is unaware that just like most of her squadmates, she is also a sort of political prisoner here at Yokohama.
