Muv Luv Alternative: Desparation

A tall, slender woman with a large bosom, with features to match her sly personality. Sports shoulder length magenta hair, and has sharp red eyes. Wears a lab coat worn over a UN uniform.

An exceedingly cunning and intelligent woman, she will manipulate whoever she must to ensure her duties and goals are completed. To her credit however, she never manipulates people for selfish reasons, usually just to bypass bureaucratic red tape that she finds pointless and unnecessary. While detached from nearly everyone around her, she does still care and have compassion for certain individuals around her, namely Marimo Jinguuji, her childhood friend whom she greatly enjoys teasing. As a genius, she self proclaims that for her there are only the things that interest her, and the things that don't. She will always be the smartest person in any room.

Yuuko wrote an entire thesis on her own theory, the "Quantum Causality Theory" at age 17, which caught the eye of the Alternative Plan bid commitee in 1991. By 1995, she was appointed head of Alternative IV, another attempt at communication but this time with the help of the 00-Unit, the disembodied brain of Sumika Kagami who was dissected by the BETA and plugged into their "Hive network". This discovery was among countless other brains when the UN retook the Yokohama Hive. Her greatest hurdle is figuring out how to make an efficient artificial body for the 00-Unit. Yuuko does everything in her power to ensure the success of Alternative IV, because Alternative V means abandoning Earth in a blaze of G-bomb detonations and the potential, slow death of humanity among the stars, hoping for a new planet to call home. Her position on this secret project affords her an immense pull both politically and militarily. Some might say her ideas are leading humanity's resistance.
