Description
By the time of the Falcon's debut in 1986, the USA's Department of Defense was looking at ways address the need to constantly change tactics to deal with sudden BETA attacks, they adopted the "High-Low" doctrine, where lightweight, high mobility, and lowcost TSFs like the newly introduced F-16 would operate in tandem with "heavier" TSFs like the Eagle and Tomcat. In addition, it was use to hasten the modernization of the USA's fleet. The "High-Low" doctrine would go on to be adopted worldwide.
