Description
The Tornado Series variants are all based off the same F-5 base model, the F-5E used by the United Kingdom, the F-5G by Germany, and the F-5I by Italy, all used primarily for bombardment and interdiction. The improvements to the base model included short takeoff capability with variable-wing mechanisms on the jump unit, allowing high speed precision strikes. Any Tornado with an external missile system will always be a two pilot model, with one of the pilots managing the guidance system.
