Yukon Base was originally intended to be an American military installation, but after the fall of most of Asia, a significant part of Alaska was leased to the Soviet Union. All "pureblood (Russian)" Soviets were evacuated and resettled in Alaska, while their remaining "impure" comrades held the line in Soviet Manchuria. The base was then handed to the UN in order to better foster international relations, while simultaneously being able to spy on their Soviet rivals. Yukon Base has become an international testbed for new TSF designs seeing test pilots from nearly every known nation.There are strict regulations in Yukon, UN troops are not permited whatsoever in Soviet areas unless they themselves are Soviets. There is a sizable town outside the base as well, where many troops take leave and liberty.
