The Yukon Base was originally meant to be an American military installation, but strained relations with Canada, and the leasing of Alaska to the Soviet Union saw its completion stagnate. The base was instead handed to the UN in order to better foster international relations, while simultaneously being able to spy on their Soviet rivals. Yukon Base has become an international testbed for new TSF designs seeing test pilots from nearly every known nation.There are strict regulations in Yukon, UN troops are not permited whatsoever in Soviet areas unless they themselves are Soviets. There is a sizable town outside the base as well, where many troops take leave and liberty.
