Author's Note: This is meant to be (hopefully) an entry point to the Muv Luv franchise, though with a few homebrew touches and additions from semi-relevant media. Experience an alternate timeline of Earth, where the Cold War never ended and an overwhelming extraterrestrial threat has Humanity on it's back foot. Less than 3 billion souls remain to hold the desparate resistance. Can you make a difference?
There is a template character for you to build your own, for the sake of story and consistency, you must assign a start location for this template to any starting "Base".

Description
The Malysian Peninsula is one of only two slivers of mainland Asia that the BETA hasn't clawed away from humanity. Much of Indonesia doesn't have a significant enough force to field, so they instead hire mercenaries and paramilitary groups. While the assistance of these groups have slowed the BETA's advance, it is the remaining Asian forces fighting in this bottlenecked position, that has successfully halted them. Many smaller navies move in and out of Singapore to refuel, so there is usually a sizeble naval contingent on hand at all times. This area is one of the most likely to run into mercenary factions, with Singapore being a major operating front for cartels, mafias, and illicit traffickers.
