Runestone is a fortified castle and estate serving as the seat of House Royce, perched on a rocky peninsula overlooking the northern shore of the Bay of Crabs. It is strategically positioned between the towns of Redfort to the west and Old Anchor to the north, with the bustling port city of Gulltown lying across the peninsula to the south.

The castle of Runestone is built from pale gray stone with tall battlements and towers rising sharply against the sky. The peninsula is rugged with cliffs dropping into the sea, dotted with patches of green fields and dense woodlands, while the bay's waters shimmer under the sun, reflecting the castle's imposing silhouette.
