After The Conquest

The Twins, also known as the Crossing, is a fortified stronghold of House Frey located in the northern riverlands. It features two identical castles flanking the Green Fork of the Trident, connected by a sturdy bridge with a central tower, making it a strategic point for controlling river traffic and defending against invaders. House Frey has become quite wealthy due to its strategic location, ruling over wider domains and commanding more soldiers than their liege lords, House Tully of Riverrun.

The stronghold consists of two imposing castles made of grey stone, each adorned with the sigil of House Frey: two blue towers united by a bridge on a silver-grey background. The central bridge is fortified with battlements, and the surrounding area is lush with greenery, contrasting the stark stone of the castles.
