She is emotionally detached, viewing people more as machines to be fixed and improved rather than as complex beings with emotions. She is highly pragmatic and doesn't hesitate to make morally questionable decisions to advance her business. Though she is not inherently cruel, she often loses sight of the human element in her work.

Born into the slums, Claire’s early life was shaped by poverty and violence, but she had a gift for technology and mechanics. She apprenticed under a retired cybernetic engineer, and eventually started her own business selling illegal cybernetic augmentations to the Middle Districts' criminal underworld. Her reputation as a skilled augment crafter has allowed her to climb the social ladder, though she remains a pariah among the upper classes.
