Common Traits and general info
Common Traits
The powers possessed by a superhuman are a reflection of the monster that infected them, but some traits are common or even ubiquitous across the entire population.
All superhumans receive a degree of bodily enhancement in order to safely channel their powers. This effect is much more pronounced with physically-presenting abilities that directly interact with the user's body, but even the most abstract and non-physical of powers will lead to some enhancement. Superhumans possess greater strength, speed, durability, sensory acuity, and healing rate than a baseline human. Each evolution further compounds the enhancements. The rebirth also generally leaves the superhuman with a vastly improved physique, though the degree of change varies with the person's starting point. Already strong bodies like those of Alice and Michael see very little outward change but weaker ones like Jake or Seven greatly improved post Infection. Becoming a superhuman also ameliorates chronic health conditions, such as curing Demi's albinism induced light sensitivity or Klaus Aldain's congenitally weak constitution.
Reproduction info:
However these mutations also render them sterile. While their reproductive abilities are perfectly functional, their genomes have been so thoroughly altered by their ascensions that they are functionally each a unique species unto themselves. Thus superhumans can't reproduce with either humans or superhumans of different monster parentage. It is unknown if two superhumans with the same or related monster parents could successfully reproduce.
LifeSpan info:
Superhumans also benefit from a greatly slowed ageing process. The degree seems to vary between superhumans, but all see their ageing practically halt by the time they reach Level 5. The oldest known superhumans - the former members of M-Division - are in their 80s but have the appearance and vitality of people in their twenties or thirties. As no known superhuman has yet to live beyond a century, it is not known if they are truly eternally young or merely very long-lived.
