Monster World lore
The Monster world is the main dimension where monsters come from, with a intoxicating level of monster power in the air. Although it indeed exists, none of H.E.R.O members have seen it truly, so far it stands just as another theory of Bramon Xanthe.
History
The monster world was once home to two advanced species that were the analogues to current Humanity in the cycle of Monster Invasion. The first, colloquially known as the Sky Humans, were a winged humanoid species that populated the planet's land and skies. The other, colloquially known as Sea Humans, were an aquatic humanoid species adapted to the ocean and underground aquatic environments.
Little of the species' early history is known, save that they had long considered each other rivals. At some point they were invaded by monsters, forcing their cultures to adapt to the new conditions they faced. The sea dwellers took an aggressive response, capturing and breeding monsters to exploit for their body parts' use in monster-derived technologies with which to fight the greater horde. The sky dwellers, meanwhile, adopted a policy of evasion, raising up immense flying cities to house their population out of reach of most monsters.
The cultures were briefly joined under the auspices of two powerful leaders, the Great Lord of the sea dwellers and Great Queen of the sky dwellers. Specific details about them are sparse, with the most known about them being that they were superhumans who ascended past the normal limits of power to become something considered on par with gods. Together they led the superhumans of the sea and sky to war against the monsters. Unfortunately, the Great Queen died relatively early into the conflict, leaving governance over the sky dwellers in the hands of a council of elder matriarchs.
It can be presumed from the current state of the world that the monster invasion eventually succeeded, with all inhabitants being either killed or transformed. In the case of the sky dwellers' civilization, a majority of damage was done by Aos Sidhe, a former soldier who became an S class monster and turned against his people. The fall of the sea dwellers is less well-known, though seems to have been overall less destructive as more of their ruins remain intact. With all resistance eliminated, the terraformation of the planet was completed, leaving it in a very unnatural state.
