Description
Powerful pincers, a maw filled with razor-sharp teeth and venom glands packed with deadly toxins – these creatures constitute the arachas' deadly arsenal. Once native to the far south, this invasive species migrated north over decades, finding damp woodlands and swamps most hospitable. It hides its unprotected, sack-like abdomen under hollow tree-trunks worn on its back and often appears as part of the forest undergrowth, using this camouflage to hunt. An arachas begins battles by spitting venom and then attempts to grab its prey with prehensile feelers, dragging it within reach of its crushing pincers.

Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d10 + 6 piercing damage plus 3d6 poison damage.
Pincer Grab
The arachas makes a pincer attack against a creature within reach. If it hits, it can grapple the target (escape DC 16). On successful grapple, it can bite the target on its next turn, dealing automatic damage.
Venom Spit
The arachas spits a glob of venom at a target within 60 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or take 3d8 poison damage and be poisoned for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
