Andustar
Andustar, known as the Westlands, is the western province of Númenor, famed for its coastal beauty and rich history. It is primarily marked by the city of Andúnië, a revered haven for the Faithful. Encapsulated by the Great Sea, it offers breathtaking maritime vistas and is bordered to the south by the lush region of Nísimaldar. The landscape is a harmonious blend of rolling hills and tranquil beaches, making it a popular refuge for those seeking solace.
Arandor
Arandor, often referred to as Kingsland, serves as the vital central region of Númenor, encapsulating the grandeur of the island's capital, Armenelos. Nestled between the magnificent Meneltarma mountain and the port city of Rómenna to the east, this region boasts a vital connection to the Sea while being predominantly landlocked. A well-trodden road winds from Rómenna, heading westward toward the majestic Armenelos and further to the revered Meneltarma in the west, creating a central hub of trade and power.
Armenelos
Armenelos, also known as the City of the Kings, Armenelos the Golden or Arminalêth, is the capital city of Númenor. It is the fairest of all cities on the island. It is situated on a hill in eastern central Númenor, in the district called Arandor close to the Meneltarma. The chief road of Númenor ran through the royal city, eastward it led to the haven of Rómenna while westward it led to Andúnië. Armenelos contains a tower and a citadel that had been built by Elros, the great house of the Kings, and the courts of the King with the place of the Tree where the White Tree Nimloth grew. At the top of the tower of the King's palace was an eyrie where a pair of great eagles lived on the bounty of the King from the time of Elros until the time of Tar-Ancalimon. Armenelos was founded as far back as the end of the First Age, when the Edain first migrated to the island. In S.A. 32, the coronation of Elros in Armenelos marked the beginning of the Númenórean realm.

Bay of Andúnië
The northernmost of the three bays along the western coasts of the Andustar in Númenor, Andúnië Bay boasts steep cliffs that rise majestically from narrow, sandy shores. Renowned for its famous haven of Andúnië at the eastern end, whispers of a second haven named Almaida add to the mystique of this stunning coastal area.

Bay of Eldanna
The Bay of Eldanna, a magnificent expanse of water, lies in the western part of Númenor, flanked by the rugged promontories of Andustar and Hyarnustar. This vast bay, nourished by the flowing Nunduinë River, stretches impressively over a hundred miles at its mouth. Known for its deep connection to the Eldar of Tol Eressëa, the enchanting port of Eldalondë, or 'Elf Haven,' graces its shores, welcoming travelers from both afar and nearby.
Bay of Rómenna
The Bay of Rómenna is a majestic inlet on the eastern side of Númenor, separating the regions of Orrostar to the north and Hyarrostar to the south. Its narrow opening leads to the vast Belegaer, widening in the middle before converging again at the mouth of the Firth of Rómenna. Nestled within this bay is the small isle of Tol Uinen, where Prince Aldarion often anchored his ship, the Eämbar, choosing to live aboard it in defiance of his father Tar-Meneldur's disapproval of his maritime ambitions.
Belegaer
Belegaer, the Great Sea, the Sundering Seas, or the Western Sea, is the sea of Arda that lies west of Middle-earth. After the War of Wrath, Belegaer was widened by the drowning of a large part of Middle-earth. The bridge of ice in the north was removed, removing land access to the western continent. During the Akallabêth in the Second Age, the seas were bent and the world was made round. Aman was removed from the world, Belegaer washed "new lands", and only the chosen could find the Straight Road to Valinor. The new western end of Belegaer is never described in the narrative, although there are indications that Númenórean refugees reached them in search for Valinor.

The majestic mountain Meneltarma, known as the Pillar of Heaven, stands proudly at its center, surrounded by the flowing waters of Númenor's two main rivers, Nunduinë and Siril, which weave through the verdant hills and valleys.
Noirinan
Noirinan, or the Valley of the Tombs, lies nestled between the sweeping southwest and southeast ridges of the formidable Mountain Meneltarma on the island of Númenor. This shallow valley is home to the majestic tombs of the Kings of Númenor, hewn intricately into the very rock of the mountain, a testament to the island’s rich history. At the heart of Noirinan, the crystal-clear spring of the river Siril emerges, the main course of water that weaves its way across Númenor, sustaining the land's beauty.

Nísimaldar
Nísimaldar (Quenya: Land of Fragrant Trees) is the verdant region surrounding Eldalondë, the Haven of the Eldar, on the western coast of Númenor. Blessed by the gifts of the Eldar from Tol Eressëa, this land is home to the most beautiful and aromatic trees in all Númenor, including the mallorn (malinornë), which grows nowhere else on the island. Many other trees grew in this land, all of them gifts from the Eldar.

The island of Númenor is shaped like a 5-pointed star with each peninsular promontory having its own unique geological and physical features and names: Forostar, Andustar, Hyarnustar, Hyarrostar and Orrostar. The central region was named Mittalmar, and in its centre stood the holy mountain Meneltarma. Númenor had only two rivers: Siril and Nunduinë. The Númenóreans built several settlements on the island. The capital Armenelos, as well as Andúnië, Nindamos, Eldalondë, Rómenna, Ondosto and Almaida.
Oromet
Oromet is a prominent hill located near Andúnië, standing as a sentinel over the western shores of Númenor. On its summit, a grand tower built by King Tar-Minastir rises dramatically, its high spire piercing the sky. The tower serves as a contemplative retreat for rulers, a place where the longing for distant lands is both nurtured and unfulfilled.
Orrostar
Orrostar, known as the Eastlands, is the easternmost province of Númenor, characterized by its promontory shape, stretching approximately 100 miles from east to west. The province is surrounded by the Sea on all sides except the western front, while hilly terrain runs along the northern coast, providing shelter from the cold northeastern winds. Famed as the granary of Númenor, it holds vital farmlands that yield a bountiful supply of grain, making it a crucial landscape within the realm.
Sorontil
Sorontil, known as Eagle-horn, is a formidable mountain peak in the north of the Númenórean province of Forostar.
